After registering as volunteer for working at TechEd (published earlier this year on the MCT's Born to Learn platform (http://borntolearn.mslearn.net), I was more than excited when I received a confirmation email back 2 weeks ago:
This e-mail is to confirm that you are selected as Technical Learning Guide (TLG) for the Hands-on-Labs (HOLs) at TechEd Europe 2012 in Amsterdam from Monday June-25 until Friday Jun-29 2012. All TLGs at the event are MCTs.
Note that we have selected you for both TechEd North America and TechEd Europe. Hopefully you will be able to participate at both events.
Please see below for details on TechEd Europe.

Role. As a TLG volunteering in the HOL area, you are expected to assist attendees with the hands-on-labs for a total of 18 hours during the event. You will be assigned to a group of labs in your area of expertise. The exact schedule, indicating your lab assignments, and the scheduled time slots, will be sent later when we get closer to the event. At that time, you will also have an opportunity to indicate to us your list of not-to-miss sessions, that we will attempt to schedule around.
There are also several lab-based workshops at this year's event. Those are similar to instructor-led labs (ILLs). All the instructors are already assigned by the event, but some of you will be assigned as proctor at those workshops.
As an MCT I'm already used to helping and assisting people in Microsoft Official Course Labs, but being able to do this at TechEd, whow man, I still can hardly believe it is happening!!!
So if you are at one of the TechEds this year, pass by the Hands On Labs so we can have a talk.
Looking forward to meet you there folks !
