Hi all,
It's not that easy keeping my blog up-to-date when traveling and speaking at conventions that much as I'm doing the last few weeks...
2 weeks ago, I was working as a HOL proctor (hands-on labs coach as we like to call it...) at Microsoft's TechEd 2012 in Orlando, US. For about 3-3,5h a day the full week, I had the joy of helping people who got stuck in the labs somewhere. I initially was nominated to support the Exchange and Lync labs, but with my technical background I was capable of supporting WIndows 8, Windows Server 2012 and parts of System Center 2012 labs as well.
It was a very exciting and interesting experience, I can guarantee you that. I not only was working with a team of some of the world's best MCT's, it was also a good opportunity to get in close contact with several Microsoft Product and Technical Evangelism Team people like Wally Mead (SCCM 2012), Symon Perriman (Webcast enthousiast on HyperV 2012, Private Cloud,...) and many others.
The cool thing is, I'm doing the same again next week at Teched Europe in Amsterdam :)
Oh, and as if the list is not long enough yet, I also got invited to present a BOF-session (Birds-Of-a-Feather); this is not a classic presentation with slidedeck where a speaker does his thing and the audience listens; no, the idea is a act as a moderator in some discussions with the audience. My session will talk about the challenges, benefits, issues,... with Exchange On-premise, Exchange Online or Hybrid topology scenarios.
If you are visiting TechEd Amsterdam next week, feel free to come by the HOL corner, or attend my BOF-session. Always happy to meet with my readers and followers.
Grtz, Peter
