IT-Talks - The Sharepoint Session : September 8th mark your agenda !

Tom Vandaele and yours truly will be presenting the upcomming session for Belgian usergroup IT-Talks. IT-Talks is a usergroup that works with an unique concept of being a lanparty for IT-PRO's. Everybody brings a pc and will be connected to the network.
Tom and I allready did some preparation and it is allready showing that time is limited for all the stuff we want to deliver ;-) This will be a day jampacked by setting up your proper sharepoint server aka MOSS environment and showing you how to administer this from an IT-PRO kind of view. Topics that currently made it to the list are setting up. (what happens when you click next next next and you throw in some service-accounts), Security (hell yeah !), backup and recovery on all kinds of levels, bringing this down to a one day hardcore session! We are trying to keep things accessible from a starters level so this session is also easy to follow for people that have no previous knowledge of sharepoint technology. (remember - Thou shall be brainwashed...) As this is a session about the full blown MOSS setup we allso will discuss setting up a WSS v3 environment ("the free version") and also will talk about "companyweb" or the WSS version that comes with Small Business Server.
