Hardware Requirements
The following are the minimum and recommended hardware requirements for System Center Capacity Planner:
- Intel Pentium or compatible 1 GHz or faster processor
- 512 MB of RAM
- 30 MB of available disk space on the drive on which you install System Center Capacity Planner
- CD-ROM drive
- XGA graphics adapter and monitor

All localized versions of the operating systems listed are supported except right-to-left language versions.
Software Prerequisites
System Center Capacity Planner requires the following software:
No Upgrade from Previous System Center Capacity Planner Versions
You cannot upgrade to System Center Capacity Planner 2007 from any previous version of System Center Capacity Planner. You must remove a previous version and reinstall the latest version. However, any custom hardware that you have defined in the Model Editor is preserved.

- If your computer runs an operating system other than Windows Vista, uninstall System Center Capacity Planner by using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.
- If your computer runs Windows Vista, uninstall System Center Capacity Planner by using Programs and Features in Control Panel.
- If you have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (Beta or RC) installed on a computer with an operating system other than Windows Vista, remove it by using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.
- If you have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (Beta or RC) installed on a computer running Windows Vista, remove it by using Programs and Features in Control Panel.
- Install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
- Install System Center Capacity Planner by running Setup.exe.
