The problem though, was that the OWA was configured on https (SSL Encryption) and was configured to use Forms Based Authentication.

The result of all this was, that when you connect the webpart to "https://exchangeserver/exchange", you only get the OWA login screen at the place the calendar should appear.

On the internet, no clear step-by-step (or I overlooked it) is available, so I've set myself up a little test environment and made some screenshots of the (let's be honest) pretty easy configuration.

So, our start situation is something like this:

Notice the login screen of the OWA Application.

So, how do we fix it?

1. Go to the IIS Manager of the Exchange 2003 server, rightclick the Exchange (OWA) Virtual Directory and save the configuration to file.

2. Rightclick the Default Website > New > Virtual Directory (from file)...

3. Select the configuration file you created in step 1 and click OK.

4. Choose a new for the new Virtual Directory. I chose for "Exchange2", and click OK.

5. After the Virtual Directory was created, go to the properties of the Virtual Directory and more specificly to the "Directory Security" tab.

Two chances should be applied here:
    - The authentication method must be set to "Integrated Windows Authentication".
    - The SSL requirement must be cleared.

6. In the MOSS 2007 Mysite configuration, change the URL to "http://servername/exchange2", and the webpart will work like a charm.

Keep on playing
Tom
